"Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life,
the whole aim and end of human existence"
~Aristotle
Perfectionists and overachievers:
Do you:
- feel like you have to earn happiness through achievement?
- believe that you will be happy when you have the perfect job, or house, or car?
- think that you can’t be happy when life is challenging - that you have to fix it first?
I'd like to help.

Hope for Feeling Better
Maybe you think you should be able to figure this out on your own, but you just can't. It's hard to ask for help when you're used to being the one who fixes everything. Perhaps you worry about what other people will think if they find out that you can't handle it by yourself. And yet as each day goes by, you lose a little more hope about feeling better in the future.
You know that without getting help you will still be feeling the same way, next week, next month, and next year. You've already tried everything you can think of. Deep in your heart you know that what's at stake for you is a joyful life, one of happiness and contentment.
I've been where you are – feeling miserable and stuck and not knowing what to do next. I know from my own personal experience as a therapy client that counseling can help. I also know that there is hope; that you can feel better, and quickly. I call on the tools that helped me overcome depression and anxiety, as well as skills learned through my education and experience with other clients. But most important of all, I can relate to you.
"Working with Laura was great. She helped me to look at things in new ways and to deepen my understanding of what was going on for me. Because of her breadth of experience she was able to provide meaningful examples that helped to put into context our discussion and make it more "real" for me."
